Baritone/Euphonium
The euphonium is an instrument that offers the best of both worlds, a larger mouthpiece like the trombone, but valves like the trumpet. Its pitch is the same as the trombone, and the tone is big and round. The euphonium is played similar to the trumpet, but it is much bigger, so the sound is much deeper. Due to its deep sound, it plays a very important role in the instrumentation of the band! It is often called the "baby tuba".
